What are API Keys?
API keys are unique text strings that are used to authenticate access to an API (Application Programming Interface). API keys allow programmers and developers to access third-party services or data in a secure and controlled way. API keys are often used to control access to web services, such as geolocation services, online payment services, social networking services, email services and much more.
Using an API key allows service owners to control who has access to their data and to limit use of the services to authorized users only . To use an API key, you must include it in your application code when making API calls. This way, the API server can verify the user's authenticity and grant access to the requested data or services.
