PIR sensor - Infrared motion sensor
What is a PIR Sensor?
The PIR sensor (Passive Infrared Sensor) is a sensor used in alarms or home automation to detect the presence of objects or people in its coverage area. Using the infrared radiation generated by the human body, or by other heat sources, the PIR sensor is able to detect its movements. The sensors transmit an electrical signal that can be used to trigger an alarm or to turn on the lights or something.
PIR sensors are commonly used in home security systems, automated lighting systems , climate control systems, and other applications.
