UV-C technology - Disinfection and sterilization by light

What is UV-C technology?

UV-C technology (ultraviolet germicidal radiation type C) is a disinfection method that uses ultraviolet light with wavelengths in the UV-C range (between 280 and 100 nanometers) to modify the DNA and RNA of microorganisms by inhibiting their replication.

What is UV-C technology for?

UV-C technology is used for sterilization and cleaning in a variety of sectors, including healthcare, food, industrial and domestic. UV-C light is capable of destroying many types of bacteria , viruses and other microorganisms that can cause disease or infection. In fact, the use of UV-C light can significantly reduce the risk of contamination by pathogenic microorganisms in various environments such as hospitals, kitchens and aquariums.

UV-C light can also be used to sanitize many objects and surfaces , such as surgical instruments, personal care products and object surfaces. It can sterilize objects and surfaces very quickly (in seconds or minutes), depending on the power of the light source. Furthermore, the use of UV-C light for sterilization and cleaning can reduce the use of chemicals harmful to the environment and human health.
